Our wedding and reception will take place in Round Top, but we encourage our guests to explore neighboring areas also. From dynamic cities to charming villages set in rolling hills, there's a lot to see and do!

HOUSTON

H-Town, Space City, Bayou City, Hustletown, Magnolia City... As the fourth largest city and most culturally diverse city in the United States, Houston offers a wide variety of experiences. From the delicious food scene and fabulous assortment of shopping options, to the sprawling museum and theatre districts, there's something for everyone. Visit the Johnson Space Center and tour NASA, enjoy the Houston Museum of Natural Science and see the largest paleontology hall in the United States, play a round of golf at one of Houston's 60+ golf courses, visit the Houston Zoo or Aquarium, head to Galveston for some beach time and visit Moody Gardens, or drive 30 minutes north of Houston to visit The Woodlands for more shopping, dining, and excitement.

AUSTIN

Welcome to Texas' state capital, y'all! Austin is home to an incredible music scene, wonderful outdoor activities, a slew of arts and entertainment districts, and the University of Texas... HOOK 'EM, HORNS! Guests may want to visit the Texas State Capitol Building which holds the distinction of being the tallest capitol building in the United States, even taller than the nation's capitol in D.C. Just 20 miles north of Austin's city center, is sparkling Lake Travis where guests can swim, sail, zip line, rent boats, and more! If you're in the area, visiting the famous Oasis is for a meal!

SAN ANTONIO

While you're in the Lone Star State, keep in mind that Round Top is only two hours away from San Antonio, where you can soak in Texan, Mexican, Tejano, and Texican culture. Among the long list of things to do in San Antonio, guests can visit the Alamo, enjoy the famous River Walk, and step into Little Mexico at San Antonio's Historic Market Square. Just outside of the city, visitors can enjoy Six Flags Fiesta Texas or SeaWorld.

SMALL TOWNS

The small towns that lay between Austin and Houston, and westward of Austin, are the heart of Texas Hill Country. Many of these sleepy little hill country towns have plenty of accommodations, dining and shopping options, activities, and breathtaking sights to offer. Here are some of our favorite small towns within a few hours of Round Top:

FREDERICKSBURG - The heart of Texas' wine country is home to over 100 wineries and vineyards, as well as dozens of breweries and incredible dining options. Visit the National Museum of the WWII Pacific War, Pioneer Museum, LBJ National Historic Park, and more.

NEW BRAUNFELS & GRUENE - Float one of several rivers, take in the small town charm, enjoy the Heritage Village Museum of Texas Furniture, and visit the world famous Gruene Hall, the oldest continuously running dance hall in Texas.

BASTROP - Delicious dining options and adorable shops line historic Bastrop's darling downtown, including the famous Painted Porch Bookshop. Outside of town, enjoy the scenic beauty of Bastrop State Park.

BRENHAM - Looking for something sweet? Look no further than the home of Blue Bell Creameries, which is open for tours and treats. Brenham is also home to dozens of museums and historic sites, including Washington-on-the-Brazos, the birthplace of Texas.

WACO - Home of HGTV's Magnolia Silos, The Dr. Pepper Museum, and active paleontology dig sites open to the public, among other fun things.
